The Body of Christ
"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body..." 1Corinthians, 12:12-13.   At Walnut Grove Community  Church, we are one in the body of Christ with BIG, caring hearts and we'd like to welcome you as our family in Christ. We pray that you feel you are at home with family when you join us for prayer, worship and fellowship in Christ.  

Our Mission Statement

We, the congregation, promise by Covenant:

To Provide a Christian community that encourages people to discover, each in their own way, Jesus the Christ as Lord of life, and invites all people to experience salvation through his transforming grace. 

To provide a Christian community that exhibits love and concern for the people of our congregation and the greater world, creating a prayerful atmosphere that is open and accepting, forgiving, and supportive of dialogue. 

To provide a Christian community that is sensitive to the needs of differing age groups, differing educational levels, differing races and backgrounds, and differing economic means, and to the unique needs of the modern family. 

The Worship Service
Our  worship service is held each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m., (during Covid-19, we stream on line through YouTube, listed on the home page.)  Worship service begins with a hymn, a warm welcome by the pastor, responsive readings, scripture lessons, a children's message, prayers,  an offering and a biblically based sermon that integrates faith in our daily lives. Our church choir joins us with special music every 1st and 3rd Sunday. 

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated and shared on the 1st Sunday of every month. 

The service lasts approximately one hour.
After  worship service, we invite you to walk next door to our reception  building, Koinonia, for conversation, coffee or tea....and a snack.
