Christmas Day, 2022! We hope you will enjoy the Holiday with your families and friends. There will not be a service on Christmas or Christmas Eve this year.
Join us on November 27th after church services for a Holiday decorating party! We'll be hanging lights, bring out the Holiday festive decorations and sharing the joy of Christmas followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments in Koinoinia Hall. Bring the family for a fun time!
It was a GREAT time!
We Celebrated another Ice Cream Social on a very hot Tuesday, August 16th. The Ice Cream was great....though it melted a little faster than usual! There were lots of games and fun for the kids, plus meeting up with neighbors friends and family we've not seen in a while. We hope to see you again, and if you didn't join us, please come and join us for the next one!
Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast is ON! Join us for a fun time in our small town by starting off the Holiday with a delicious pancake breakfast at the church beginning at 7:30 a.m., followed by the annual 4th of July Parade and festivities beginning at Fire House station 95 at 10 a.m. We need helpers to put this on, so if you are available, come on down by 7 a.m. and join the fun in preparation on July 4th. We're serving our famous pancakes, sausage, fruit and juice and coffee. The cost is $10 for adults, $5.00 for children 6 - 12, and free for children under 6 years. Bring the whole family, and help us spread the word! For more information, call Darlene Weiss at (209) 327-7405.
The Church welcomed around eight community children for a special time of fun and activities from 10 a.m. to noon. Stories, games, snacks and getting to know each other was on tap on the church grounds July 12th and 13th as community school children, ages K - 6th grades came to spend some summer fun together. Parents had some time to meet other parents of school aged children and talk with each other, and kids had a chance to meet new friends in a clean, safe and fun environment. We loved seeing all the children, parents and grandparents too! We hope to see you again sometime soon in another fun event at the church.
We all celebrated Easter 2022 with a new appreciation for activities during Easter Week that had been suspended over the last two years, but which help build up our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. A trip to "Our Lady of Sacramento Monastery" on Leary Road in the Delta to walk the life-size stations of the cross on Good Friday was a memorable way to honor what Jesus went through to save us all. We read through the scriptures of how he was beaten, flogged, ridiculed and crucified on that day of fulfillment of the Holy Scriptures.
You are all welcome to join us next year for Station of the Cross and all other activities of your Community Church Family. Our Choir is singing again in praise to the Lord, and we've welcomed back many who have been sheltering at home during the pandemic. We decorated the church with Easter flowers purchased by church family members in loving memory or honor of a loved one to take home and plant in their gardens. We are blessed to have a church community where all are welcome to come and worship with us! We hope to see you soon!
Community Children enjoyed an old fashioned Easter Egg Hunt with all the excitement and fun it brings, complete with a table of prizes for those lucky enough to find an egg with a number in it. Winners could choose a prize of their liking from a wide variety of fun prizes for children ages pre-school up to 6th grade. A light brunch was available for those after Easter Service at 9:30 a.m. to join us in fellowship over a meal, and celebrate the Easter Sunday as we did in years gone by without the issues that a pandemic brings. We are so grateful to be back!

Earning his Eagle Scout Badge, George Smith has finished the Prayer Garden
Plans to build a prayer garden on the south side of the church are complete! With the help of family, community and friends, the area beneath the redwoods on the south side of the church is now a peaceful, tranquil place to enjoy the beauty of the church grounds. George states, "The purpose of the project is to bring the community together and I am already starting to feel that happen." We hope you stop by to enjoy the new area beneath the redwoods!
We are hosting the MEN'S BREAKFAST again! We meet every 2ND SATURDAY of each MONTH
We welcome back our faithful men, and we hope to find a few more of you out there! Come on in and join us.
We honored our local heroes with a special night of food and fellowship to thank them for serving our community!
Volunteer Fire Fighters serve our local community, and respond when the big bell on the bridge rings out for emergency.
We celebrate the Advent and Christmas Season with song, spirit and fellowship. It's a magical night with celebration with the whole community at 7 p.m. followed by hospitality in Koinonia Hall with fresh baked goods, snacks and beverages to share with our big church family.
Our Christmas Candlelight Service is a tradition that dates back many years and is loved by many of our Delta families. We look forward to holding it again after the Pandemic closed it down in 2020. The Choir will sing out favorite Christmas Carols and we'll gather in Koinonia Hall for refreshments and fellowship afterward. Join us the Sunday before Christmas at 7 p.m.!
We missed everyone during the Pandemic in 2020 and 2021, but we celebrated while sheltering at home, and the cross reminded us again to Rejoice! For, He has Risen! We happily celebrated Easter in the church for the first time in 2022, and we hope to see you in 2023!
